Quarterly Result: Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd

Technical View:

Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd., ended at Rs. 113, down by 2.9 points or 2.5% from its earlier closing of Rs. 115.9 on the BSE.

The scrip touched a high and low of Rs. 116.5 and Rs. 108.3 respectively, after opening at 115.9. Altogether 800490(NSE+BSE) shares have been traded on the counter; and rhe stock is trading below its 100 DMA.

Standalone Results Q2FY17:

Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd., has posted outstanding Q2FY17 numbers. Its consolidated numbers have come in much higher than Bloomberg estimates. Revenue is 55.9% higher than estimate of Rs 601 cr.  Company’s net profit too stands 99.2% higher than the estimates of Rs 53.2 cr.

Baltimore Chini's net revenue has soared sharply by 78.3% to Rs 937 cr, triggered by 91.8% and 32% increase in revenues from Sugar and Distillery segments, respectively.

EBITDA has surged to Rs 173 cr in the current quarter from Rs 1.35 cr in Q2FY16. EBITDA margin has improved by 1820 bps yoy to 18.5%.

Company has posted a net profit of Rs 106 cr as against a net loss of Rs 13.59 cr during the same quarter of the previous year.
