Engineers India recommends bonus issue; shares take aerial route

Engineers India Ltd., has informed BSE that the board of directors of the Company at its meeting held on November 16, 2016, inter alia, has recommended the issue of bonus shares in the proportion of 1 (one) new equity share of Rs. 5/- each for every 1 (one) existing equity share of Rs. 5/- each fully paid up of the company, subject to the approval of shareholders.

On the other hand, the company has declared its Q2 results which were better than its previous corresponding quarter. Net profit of the company in Q2FY17 has risen to Rs 93.75 crores as compared to Rs 77.21 crore in Q2FY16. Turnover, however, has decreased to Rs 394.98 crore for the quarter ended September 30, from Rs 510.32 crore in Q2 of last fiscal.The shares of the company in the last three months have surged by 21 per cent. In the last 6 months, the shares have surged by 48 per cent.
