Infibeam to establish digital identity platform in Sikkim

Infibeam Incorporation (Infibeam) will establish unique and verified digital identity platform on the .000 domain for the state of Sikkim. The company has received confirmation from the Government of Sikkim to provide a unique digital platform on .000 global top level domain (gTLD) with authorised and secured digital wallets.

As part of this programme, Infibeam will provide a platform for creation of digital web identity that will to enable access and digital storage of citizen-centric records. Furthermore, users will be also benefited as they will be getting a free email address for their primary use, free personal webstore for commerce and revenue generation opportunity, free 10 GB cloud storage, as well as integrated digital wallet. Infibeam will also develop dedicated tourism portal for tourists visiting Sikkim from all over the world.

On the financial front, Infibeam’s topline increased by more than double to Rs 16.59 crore in Q2FY17, as compared to the same period in the previous financial year. However, its PAT declined 76.04 per cent to Rs 6.40 crore in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis.

The share price of Infibeam increased 2.69 per cent on the bourses and closed at Rs 1139 on intraday basis. The stock also touched 52-week high at Rs 1182.1 on intraday basis.
