Siemens closes in the red after weak Q4 numbers

Siemens declared its Q4FY16 results on Wednesday. The company follows financial year as October to September. Its revenue declined 6.33 per cent to Rs 3091 crore in Q4FY16, as compared to the same period in the previous financial year. Siemens’ EBITDA too reduced 13.88 per cent to Rs 242 crore in Q4FY16 on a yearly basis. The company posted net profit of Rs 2467 crore in Q4FY16 as against Rs 219 crore in Q4FY15.

On a yearly basis, Siemens’ topline increased 6.72 per cent to Rs 9538 crore in FY16. However, the company’s PAT reduced 1.69 per cent to Rs 593 crore in FY16 as compared to the previous fiscal. From order book perspective, Siemens registered 19.4 per cent growth in orders at Rs 12,064 crore in FY16 on yearly basis. 

During the financial year, Siemens completed the sale and transfer of its healthcare undertaking as a going concern on a slump sale basis, for a sale consideration of Rs 3,050 crore. 

The share price of Siemens decreased 1.92 per cent on the bourses and closed at Rs 1055.1 on intraday basis.
