Birla Sun Life Corporate Bond Fund : A fund for debt investors

With the tumbling stock prices and risky environment globally, debt investing is in vogue, and why not, with so many quality debt funds providing good returns, investors are choosing debt income funds to park their short-term money.

Birla Sun Life Corporate Bond Fund is an income scheme that intends to generate returns by investing in corporate debt securities with short to medium term maturities across the credit curve and would endeavour to take benefit from mispriced credit opportunities.

The investment objective of the scheme is to generate returns by predominantly investing in a portfolio of corporate debt securities with short to medium term maturities across the credit spectrum within the investment grade.

Maneesh Dangi is the fund manager and the fund has generated over 10.11 per cent over one year period. CRISIL AA Short Term Bond Fund Index is the benchmark and the latest data suggests monthly average AUM for the fund at Rs 1,180.78 crores.
