Lupin gets FDA approval for generic Nuvigil tablets

Pharma Major has informed bourses that its US subsidiary, Lupin Pharmaceuticals has received final approval for its Armodafinil tablets 50 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, and 250 mg from USFDA to market a generic version of Cephalon Inc’ Nuvigil.

Pharma Major has informed bourses that its US subsidiary, Lupin Pharmaceuticals has received final approval for its Armodafinil tablets 50 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, and 250 mg from USFDA to market a generic version of Cephalon Inc’ Nuvigil. The tablets are the AB rated generic equivalents of Cephalon. These tablets are indicated to improve wakefulness in adult patients with obstructive sleep or shift work disorder.

The shares could witness a significant movement on November 30. The scrips on November 29, closed at Rs 1517.05, marginally up by 0.82 per cent.In the last three months the shares of the company  have surged by 3 per cent. Fifty-two-week high/low of the scrips stands at Rs 1911.55/1294.05.Lupin had reported a 57.75 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 662.19 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, mainly on account of robust sales.
