Torrent Pharma emerges as the largest gainer in Mid cap

The markets on November 30 opened flat tracking global cues. The Sensex as at 9.26 am is up by 58 points and Nifty is up by 13 points.Torrent Pharma on the other hand has emerged as the largest gainer in the BSE mid-cap index.

The Sensex as at 9.26 am is up by 58 points and Nifty is up by 13 points.Torrent Pharma on the other hand has emerged as the largest gainer in the BSE mid-cap index. The shares of the company which previously closed at Rs 1403, on November 30 opened at Rs 1450 and as at 9.35 am are trading at Rs 1447, up by 3.11 per cent.
According to some media houses, Torrent Pharma has received US FDA nod for Amlodipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil Tablets which are used to treat hypertension.The shares of the company in the last three months have fallen by 10 per cent.However, in the last six months, the scrip has surged by 6 per cent.Fifty-two-week high/low of the company stands at Rs 1767.80/1185.60.
The Q2 results of the company have disappointed. Torrent Pharma has reported a 59.3 per cent drop in profit after tax to Rs 207 crore as its revenues have declined by 15.5 per cent on a YoY basis.
