Black Friday on D-street, Nifty ends below 8100

The Indian markets saw a session of high selling on the last day of the week. Both indices closed almost at same levels where a week before they have stood. 

The Indian markets saw a session of high selling on the last day of the week. Both indices closed almost at same levels where a week before they have stood. At closing bell, the Nifty ended 106 points lower at 8086 and the BSE Sensex lost 329 points to close at 26230.

The advance-decline ratio remined negative in the closing session. On the NSE, 7 shares closed in green, while 43 shares ended the day in red and 1 was unchanged.

All sectoral indices closed on a negative note. Automobile index dropped more than 300 points owing to November month’s subdued sales data due to impact of demonetisation. Bank index was hammered, down by 180 points. Capital Goods and Consumer Durables dived more than 200 points each. Mid-caps and Small-caps also were down by more than 150 points each.

In the Asian markets, the Nikkei closed with a loss of 87 points. While the Hang Seng index  decreased by 313 points. KOSPI and Taiwan also dropped more than half a per cent on black Friday.

European markets were trading in negative scenario.

Derivative Analysis

Nifty future closed above 8100 mark. Going ahead 8130/8030 will be the immediate support levels.
