Ballarpur Industries' bottom line widens in Q2FY17

Ballarpur Industries has declared its Q2FY17 results on Tuesday. The company’s revenue has dropped by 56.57 per cent to Rs 462 crore in Q2FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year.
Ballarpur Industries has declared its Q2FY17 results on Tuesday. The company’s revenue has dropped by 56.57 per cent to Rs 462 crore in Q2FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. It has posted negative EBITDA of Rs 151 crore in Q2FY17 against EBITDA of Rs 145 crore in Q2FY16. Ballarpur Industries' net loss has widened to Rs 70 crore in Q2FY17 against net loss of Rs 64 crore in Q2FY16.
On the segmental revenue front, Ballarpur Industries has earned majority i.e. 99 per cent of the revenue from paper and remaining 1 per cent from pulp rayon grade in Q2FY17.
On the half yearly front, Ballarpur Industries' top line has dropped by 33.97 per cent to Rs 1432 crore in H1FY17 as compared to same period in previous fiscal. The company has posted EBITDA loss of Rs 6 crore in H1FY17 against EBITDA of Rs 376 crore in H1FY16. Its net loss has widened to Rs 147 crore in H1FY17 from net loss of Rs 73 crore in H1FY16.
The share price of Ballarpur Industries has increased by 2.23 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 15.7 on an intraday basis.
