Inox Wind bags NTPC order for 25 WTGs

lnox Wind has bagged 50 MW turnkey orders. The company will supply and install 25 units of its 100 m rotor diameter turbines. Its project is scheduled to be commissioned by Q1FY18 and is to be deployed in the state of Gujarat by NTPC.

lnox Wind will supply and install its advanced 2MW DFIG 100 rotor diameter Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for NTPC. The company’s 450 MW Rojmal site is one of the largest wind farms in the state of Gujarat. The common power evacuation infrastructure facilities at the site have already been commissioned. 

On the financial front, Inox Wind’s revenue decreased 21.26 per cent to Rs 800 crore in Q2FY17 as compared to the same period in the previous fiscal. The company’s operating profit also reduced by 44 per cent to Rs 101 crore in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis. Its net profit also declined 66.47 per cent to Rs 56.42 crore in Q2FY17 as compared to the same period in the previous financial year.

The share price of Inox Wind increased 2.86 per cent on the bourses in early trades and is trading at Rs 204.2 on intraday basis.
