Delta Corp, a listed company with monopoly in casino business, is diversifying its geographic reach in the country. The company has earlier received licence to establish casino at Daman. There was speculation that its Q3FY17 results would be affected due to demonetisation drive in the country. The company will declare its Q3FY17 results on Tuesday.
Delta Corp has received licence for operation of a casino in Gangtok, Sikkim, under the Sikkim Casino (Control & Tax) Act, 2002. The company is ready to commence its casino operations immediately.
At the same time, Delta Real Estate Consultancy (Promoter), increased its shares in Delta Corp by 20 lakh equity shares contributing to 0.86 per cent of total share capital. The company has acquired stake on January 10. Delta Real Estate before had a total of 69 lakh shares, which constituted 2.98 per cent of total share capital.
The share price of Delta Corp increased by 3.49 per cent on bourses in early trades and is trading at Rs 137.65 on intra-day basis.
