BSE Capital Goods Index shines in trades

BSE Capital Goods Index was trending higher in afternoon session of trade ON Tuesday where the broader market was trading flat with negative bias pulled down by banking and metals stock which have been strong in the last sessions.

However, Capital Goods index was a best performing index as it was trading with the gains of close to half a percentage point at 14666. Heavy weight engineering & construction major Larsen & Toubro was trading with half a per cent gains at Rs 1450.85 on BSE.
Other prominent gainers amongst the capital goods basket were Suzlon Energy at Rs 15.54 (up 2.5 %), Thermax at Rs 840 (up 2.10 %) and Mahindra CIE at Rs 197.15 (up 1.10 %).
There were few stocks under pressure with the likes of ABB India, BEML, Bharat Electric all were trading with losses ranging from 0.5 per cent to 1.75 per cent.
