Telecom index gains 2 per cent, tops list

BSE Telecom sector is outperforming the markets with major stocks buzzing on bourses. It is currently trading at 1,160.31 levels, and is up by 23.14 points or 2.20 per cent.

BSE Telecom sector is outperforming the markets with major stocks buzzing on bourses. It is currently trading at 1,160.31 levels, and is up by 23.14 points or 2.20 per cent. Bharti Airtel, Tata Communications, Bharti Infratel and Idea are the major stocks which are gaining grounds on bourses and pushing the sectoral index to higher levels.
Bharti Airtel is up by 2.57 per cent, Tata Communications is up by 2.43 per cent, Bharti Infratel is up by 2.18 per cent and Idea is up by 2.15 per cent. Whereas, GTL Infra is down by 1.97 per cent, CMI is down by 0.64 per cent and Vindya Telelink is down by 0.45 per cent.
Overall, there are 11 advance and 4 declines.
