Asia's largest stock exchange, BSE lists at premium of 34.62 per cent at Rs 1,085 in the pre-opening session. At the end of the Friday's trading session, BSE closed at Rs 1,070.55 with a gain of 32.82 per cent in an intraday basis. The share price of the bourse has touched intraday high at Rs 1,200. BSE had set the price band for the initial public offer (IPO) for sale at Rs 805-806 per share.
After stellar listing of BSE, the shareholders of NSE started celebrating as they have already filed for an IPO to the securities exchange board of India (SEBI). The market leader, NSE's merchant bankers will fix the price band for an open offer after getting a nod from SEBI.
BSE shares will be listed on the NSE as SEBI rules do not allow self-listing for an exchange. Meanwhile, its rival NSE too has filed the draft prospectus with SEBI last month for an IPO, the size of which is estimated at Rs 10,000 crore.
