SEBI seeks clarification from NSE on proposed IPO

Capital market regulator securities and exchange board of India (SEBI) has sought clarification from the national stock exchange (NSE) on the proposed initial public offering (IPO).

Capital market regulator securities and exchange board of India (SEBI) has sought clarification from the national stock exchange (NSE) on the proposed initial public offering (IPO).

Details pertaining to the clarification has not been disclosed by SEBI. However, clarification sought is from the lead book running managers of the issue.

As per the status on the processing of IPO document of the exchange, the regulator is awaiting clarification on the proposed mega IPO. The next update would be available on February 13. SEBI in its discretion can issue observation on NSE's IPO document within 30 days from the date of receipt of reply from the merchant bankers to the issue if any further information is sought.

NSE had filed draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the regulator in the last week of December, which is going to be the biggest new issue since Coal India IPO. NSE IPO is likely to be in focus post stellar in listing of its rival bourse BSE on the Exchanges.
