FMCG stock trades in green; ITC pulls index down

Even as BSE fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) is underperforming the major indices, some of its stocks are trading in green, except ITC, which is pulling the index down.
Even as BSE fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) is underperforming the major indices, some of its stocks are trading in green, except ITC, which is pulling the index down. Early morning, the index was trading at 8,919.84 levels and is down by 49.19 or 0.55 per cent.
Meanwhile, few stocks are also trading in green. For example-Jay Shree Tea is up by 6.79 per cent, VST Industries is up by 4.40 per cent, Radico Khaitan is up by 4.00 per cent and LT Foods is up by 3.45 per cent.
However, despite 44 advances and 22 declines, the index is trading in red. While UBL is down by 1.78 per cent, Shree Renuka Sugars is down by 1.51 per cent, Dalmia Bharat Sugar is down by 1.45 per cent, Balrampur Chini Mills is down by 1.26 per cent, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries is down by 1.22 per cent and ITC is down by 1.21 per cent.
