NSE appoints Vikram Limaye as new MD & CEO

The National Stock Exchange (NSE), the country’s largest stock exchange in terms of volumes, informed in an official release that the board of directors of the stock exchange have appointed banker Vikram Limaye as MD & CEO for a period of five years, subject to shareholders and regulators approval.

Vikram Limaye is currently the MD & CEO of IDFC. The newly appointed leader of NSE comes with abundance experience in the field of global investment banks, financial institutions and global accounting firms.

The appointment comes close on the heels of NSE filing draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator SEBI for its maiden public issue worth about Rs 10,000 crore.
