Indian markets end flat but on a positive note

Indian markets witnessed very volatile trading session on the last day of the week However, the markets ended on a positive note, Nifty was not able to hold the level of 8800.

BSE Sensex and Nifty ended on a flat note. At the closing bell, Nifty ended at 8793, up by 15 points and the BSE Sensex closed at 28334, an increment of 4 points. On the NSE, 26 shares closed in the green, while 25 shares ended the day in the red.
IT, Bankex and Capital Goods remained positive, while Auto, Healthcare, FMCG, Metals declined 104 points, 134 points, 55 points, 27 points, respectively. Mid-cap index declined 38 points but Small-cap rose 18 points.
Asian markets remained positive on Friday. Shanghai rose 0.42 per cent. Hang Seng also increased 0.21 per cent. Nikkei boosted 2.49 per cent. European markets witnessed mixed trend.
Derivative Analysis
Nifty Future closed on a positive note at 8809. Going ahead, 8857/8763 will be the immediate support levels.
