* Retail inflation: In January, the retail inflation cooled to 3.17 per cent, which is the lowest since January 2012, when India started putting out consumer inflation numbers, as per the data released by the Central Statistics Office.
* Anti-dumping probe: On Monday, China levied countervailing duties and launched an anti-dumping probe against Indian manufacturers for allegedly exporting a chemical product, which is used in pharmaceuticals and dyes.
* FDI overseas: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data showed that in the previous month, there was a decline of direct investment in overseas by Indian companies. The decline was of 57.3 per cent to USD 1.82 billion. Whereas, the investment made in January 2016 amounted to USD 4.25 billion.
* China's accelerated consumer inflation: China's consumer inflation rate has increased to 2.5 per cent for the month of January when compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. The rise in inflation is highest since May 2014.
