Gayatri Projects signs new irrigation order

In a joint venture with RNS Infrastructure Limited and Sadguru Infratech Private Limited, Gayatri Projects secured an irrigation contract worth Rs 1363 crore from the executive engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Limited.

Entailing the execution of lift irrigation system, the project is likely to provide irrigation for an area of 27,462 hectares. The signed contract also includes the maintenance and operation of the irrigation system uptil 5 years, post the commission.

The company has a strong hold in the engineering procurement and construction market with projects spread across India, also including construction of road, irrigation and industrial projects.

The company has ongoing irrigation projects signed with the AP/Telangana government worth Rs1,778 crore and ongoing road construction projects in Orissa and Bihar of Rs1,255crore and Rs926 crore each. The current order book of the company approximating to Rs13,000 crore as around the third quarter of FY17. While, today, Gayatri project is trading at 141.50 with growth in the performance of its stocks by 1.98 per cent.
