D-Mart makes shining debut in a gloomy market

Indian capital markets witnessed selling pressure on the second consecutive day of the week. Nifty was not able to sustain the 9100 level in the first half of the session, but it managed to closed above the 9100 level.

At the closing bell, Nifty ended at 9121, with loss of 5 points and BSE Sensex closed at 29485 with reduction of 33 points. On the NSE, 26 shares closed in the green, while 25 shares ended the day in the red.

All indices closed in the red, except Capital Goods, FMCG, Consumer Durables and Auto. Bankex shed 142 points, Healthcare dropped 222 points, and Auto declined 95 points, while FMCG increased 93 points. The Mid-cap index declined 63 points while Small-cap decreased 27 points.

Asian markets traded mixed on Tuesday. Shanghai increased 0.33 per cent, Hang Seng rose 0.37 per cent, while Nikkei reduced 0.34 per cent. European markets were trading mixed.

Derivative Analysis

Nifty Future closed positive at 9155. Going ahead, 9218/9006 will be the immediate support levels.
