NSE, BSE introduce 15 new companies for F&O trading

Expanding the list of securities available for trading on equity derivatives segment, BSE and NSE announced the introduction of futures and options contracts in 15 more companies from March 31, 2017.

Expanding the list of securities available for trading on equity derivatives segment, BSE and NSE announced the introduction of futures and options contracts in 15 more companies from March 31, 2017.

The announcement was made by both BSE and NSE in separate circulars.

At present, there are over 200 securities available for futures and options trading. The 15 companies added for derivatives trading from March 31 are InterGlobe Aviation, Indian Bank, PVR, Equitas Holdings, Reliance Defence and Engineering, Muthoot Finance, Capital First, Suzlon Energy, Infibeam Incorporation, Escorts, Ujjivan Financial Services, Piramal Enterprises, Shree Cements, Dalmia Bharat and Max Financial Services.

Currently, the minimum investment size for equity derivatives is Rs 5 lakh. The lot size was steeply raised by the market regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India in July 2015 from Rs 2 lakh.
