Skipper hits 52-week high

Skipper has bagged a new order of Rs 405 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), Transmission Corporation of Telengana (TSTRANSCO) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand (PTCUL). 

Skipper has bagged a new order of Rs 405 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), Transmission Corporation of Telengana (TSTRANSCO) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand (PTCUL). The company will supply transmission towers to the projects of PGCIL, TSTRANSCO and PTCUL.

On the financial front, Skipper’s revenue increased 15.82 per cent to Rs 431 crore in Q3FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. The company’s operating profit too rose 15.26 per cent to Rs 57 crore in Q3FY17 on a yearly basis. Its net profit also increased 19.52 per cent to Rs 22.35 crore in Q3FY17 as compared to same period in previous fiscal year.

The stock price of Skipper increased 10.22 per cent in early trade, and is trading at Rs 173 on an intraday basis. It has touched new 52-week high at Rs 177.90 on Friday. Its share price has witnessed spurt in volume by more than 4.49 times.
