Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL) has acquired Finland based global auto component major, PKC Group Plc, for approximately Euro 571 million (Rs 4040 crore).
Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL) has acquired Finland based global auto component major, PKC Group Plc, for approximately Euro 571 million (Rs 4040 crore). This acquisition will help the Company to expand its footprint significantly in American and European commercial vehicle market segment.
It has successfully acquired 93.75 per cent shareholding in PKC Group, which has significant market presence in the American and European markets, with major growth plans in China. MSSL’s acquisition is quite synchronised with its declared policy of focusing on these markets to create enhanced value for stakeholders, including investors.
With the operational expertise of MSSL and technical know-how of PKC, the company will add more value to its customers and suppliers.
MSSL has witnessed an average annualised growth of 40 per cent over the last ten years, backed by both organic and inorganic growth. The Company will continue to work towards becoming a globally preferred solutions provider for the transportation industry.
The stock price of MSSL increased 1 per cent in early trade, and is trading at Rs 367.35 on an intraday basis.
