Wipro expands its footprints in Lat Ams

One of the leading IT service providers in the world, Wipro Ltd., has completed the acquisition of InfoSERVER, which is a IT services provider focused on the Brazilian market.This will help Wipro in expanding its presence in Latin America's banking and financial services sector.

Management of Wipro said "This acquisition will provide Wipro with scale and key client relationships, especially in the banking, financial services and insurance domains, which are the largest and fastest growing sectors in the region."

Wipro also stated that InfoSERVER, which has one of the largest Brazilian banks as its client, will help Wipro to expand in Latin America and Brazil as they are strategic growth and investment regions for Wipro.

This acquisition is aligned with Wipro’s vision to localise and expand its presence, while becoming a significant partner in choice end to end IT services that bring global expertise while operating as a local company.Through this acquisition Wipro and InfoSERVER expect to combine strong local domain knowledge with technological breadth for achieving their desired outcomes.The impact of this acquisition is expected to reflect in June quarter this year.
