Overpowering the IT major TCS, Reliance Industries became the most valued company on the front of market capitalisation on April 18, 2017. Both the companies - TCS and Reliance Industries exceeded the mark of Rs 4.5 lakh crore in market capitalisation.
The shares of Reliance Industries added over Rs 1 trillion market capitalisation in the last eight weeks, as most of the value addition driving the stock above Rs 1,400 level is credited to the revenue sourced from Jio in FY17.
The current market capitalisation of Reliance Industries stood at Rs 4.58T, with the share prices trading at Rs 1,408.80, up by 1.22 per cent on BSE on April 18, 2017 at 10:24 hrs.
While the TCS market cap stood at Rs 4.57T, with the share prices trading at Rs 2,324.40, up by 0.41 per cent on the BSE, at the same time of the day.
Further, HDFC ranked third in terms of market capitalisation with Rs 3.72T along with the shares valuing at Rs 1,450.65, up by 0.96 per cent. ITC ranked fourth with a market cap of Rs 3.44T and shares trading at Rs 281.90, up by 1 per cent.
