Markets shine after five days of losing streak

Indian capital markets closed positive on Thursday after the five-day losing streak. Nifty was able to hold the level of 9100.

Indian capital markets closed positive on Thursday after the five-day losing streak. Nifty was able to hold the level of 9100.

At the closing bell, Nifty ended at 9135 with gain of 32 points and BSE Sensex closed at 29407, gain of 71 points. On the NSE, 35 shares closed in the green, while 16 shares ended the day in the red.

All indices closed in the green except Bankex, Healthcare and Oil & Gas. Bankex reduced 130 points, Healthcare and Oil & Gas also decreased 21 points and 36 points, respectively. Auto increased 152 points. Capital Goods rose 189 points and Consumer Durables rose 189 points. IT also increased 95 points. Mid-cap index increased 95 points and Small-cap also rose 170 points.

Asian markets traded mixed on Thursday. Shanghai increased 0.04 per cent, Hang Seng also increased 0.97 per cent. Nikkei reduced 0.01 per cent. European markets were also trading on mixed sentiments.

Derivative Analysis

Nifty Future closed in the positive at 9163. Going ahead, 9225/9093 will be the immediate support levels.
