DHFL to sell stake in Aadhar Housing

Investment bank Rothschild will conduct the process of stake sale. The expected investors would be private equity players and the consideration would be in the range of Rs 2604-5208 crore.
Aadhar Housing holds a total loan book of Rs 1,736 crore as of FY16, registering 86% growth compared to Rs 933 crore in FY15. The company disbursed Rs 1032 crore from April 2016-December 2016. The company reported PAT of Rs 18.68 crore, as against PAT of Rs 5.79 crore in the previous year.
The company is expected to accelerate its growth going forward with the affordable housing campaign "Housing for All" by 2020 of the Modi government. The extension of credit-linked subsidy scheme and relatively lower penetration in the sector will boost affordable housing sector. One credit-linked subsidy scheme worth Rs 1000 crore has been already launched for the middle income group customers earning a maximum of Rs 18 lakh per year.
