 Avenue Supermarts posts impressive Q4FY17 numbers

It reported PAT of Rs. 96.67 crore representing a sequential QoQ decline of 36.35 per cent and a YoY increase of 47.45 per cent.

Avenue Supermarts Ltd. (D-Mart) reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 on Saturday. The consolidated numbers were largely positive.

Total sales for this quarter, Q4FY17 came in at Rs. 3110.64 crore. This represents a 6.85 per cent sequential decline and 40.58 per cent YoY increase.

Operating profit (EBIT) for the recently concluded quarter amounted to Rs. 172.38 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 5.54 per cent.

It reported PAT of Rs. 96.67 crore representing a sequential QoQ decline of 36.35 per cent and a YoY increase of 47.45 per cent.

In Friday’s trading session, it had kicked off the day at Rs. 777.60 and touched an intra-day high of Rs.814 to finally close at Rs. 808.65 on BSE.

Avenue Supermarts Ltd carries out business of owning, operating and running of supermarkets, chain stores, departmental stores, on line trading systems and other retailing modes, servicing, business to business and business to consumer for all kinds of products. The company has its registered office in Maharashtra.

With 131 stores, it continues to grow and consistently expands its retail foot-print. It has opened 14 stores in last three months.
