Ashoka Buildcon wins Rs 282.73 crore project in Jharkhand

Infrastructure major with a portfolio of 28 public-private partnership projects, Ashoka Buildcon bagged a Rs 282.73 crore project for urban electrification in Jharkhand from the Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam on May 11, 2017.

The company will execute urban electrification work in the state’s capital, Ranchi and also the Medininagar towns in Jharkhand, covering 12 towns for electric supply under the integrated power development scheme (IPDS), as the company confirmed in a BSE filing.     
 
IPDS is a flagship programme of the Government of India, Ministry of Power, and is funded by the Power Finance Corporation.
 
The stock of the company rose by about 5 per cent to Rs 217.55 at 10:40 hrs IST on May 11, 2017, while the stock quoted Rs 212.80, up by 2.53 per cent at 01:13 hrs IST on the BSE.
