GST enrolment registration to reopen on June 1

Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia has expressed satisfaction with the preparation for the roll-out of GST while reviewing the progress on enrolment of existing taxpayers.
So far almost 6.05 million entities have enrolled themselves with the goods and service tax network (GSTN) system as per the revenue department.
For the remaining taxpayers, the registration will reopen from June 1, according to a leading national business daily.
The enrolment process for taxpayers on the GSTN portal was suspended in the month of April.
The GOI aims at rolling out the GST from July 1.

The revenue secretary was briefed on the software system that is being developed for GST and also on the training of tax officials and outreach program being undertaken by Tax Departments across the nation.
