Liquor-baron Mallya's extradition hearing now will be held on June 13

Hearing on the issue of extradition of liquor-baron and poster-boy of India's NPA menace, Vijay Mallya's from the UK has been deferred to June 13, Britain's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

Now the CPS will be arguing on behalf of the Indian authorities when the businessman's extradition case comes up for hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in London on June 13.

Earlier the case hearing was scheduled for May 17.

"The next hearing is slated on June 13 for a case management hearing," said a CPS spokesperson as reported by a national daily on Saturday.

A four-member joint CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) team had arrived in London earlier this month.
