"No significant layoff," says Infy

Now the company has clarified that there are not any such layoff which has been planned.
According to the reports by a leading national daily here on Saturday, the chief operating officer of the IT major, Pravin Rao in a letter to the employees said that the company is planning to roll out the salary increments on July 1, 2017, for the job level 5 staff. However, the salary hikes of the other job level staffs will come in subsequent quarters.
He also put down the rumours present in the markets and a section of media that Infy is planning to carry out the large-scale layoffs for the reasons of ‘non-performance’.
