Nifty, Sensex close at record highs; ITC & TCS lead rally

BSE Telecom index gained 2.04 per cent, BSE Realty, and BSE IT indices closed higher by 1 per cent, BSE FMCG inched up by 0.98 per cent and BSE Bankex closed up by almost 0.5 per cent.
The benchmark index Nifty closed at yet another record high at 9512, up by 66 points or 0.7 per cent on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex too closed at all-time high of 30582, up by 260 points or 0.8 per cent.
BSE Telecom index gained 2.04 per cent, BSE Realty and BSE IT indices closed higher by 1 per cent, BSE FMCG inched up by 0.98 per cent and BSE Bankex closed up by almost 0.5 per cent.
However, BSE Metal index closed in the red, down by 0.57 per cent.
Nifty PSU Bank index led the market rally on Tuesday, gaining as much as 2.4
The Nifty Bank and Nifty Mid-cap also closed at their all-time closing highs.
The broader indices were seen underperforming the major indices with BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap indices gaining 0.2 per cent and 0.3 per cent respectively.
There were 853 advances, 791 declines, with 307 stocks remaining unchanged on the NSE.
