Sensex closed at record highs at 30,750 levels, up by 448.39 points of 1.48 per cent.

HDFC Bank, L&T & Infosys together contributed almost 50 per cent to the Sensex gains.

L&T was the top Sensex gainer, closing up by 4.69 per cent, HDFC Bank closed up by 3.10 per cent, ICICI Bank closed up by 3.06 per cent, Infosys closed up by 2.97 per cent, TCS closed up by 2.59 per cent, SBI closed up 2.42 per cent and Bajaj Auto was up by 2.38 per cent.

BSE Energy closed up by 0.99 per cent, BSE FMCG closed up by 0.36 per cent, BSE IT closed up 2.32 per cent, BSE Telecom closed up by 0.76 per cent, BSE Utilities closed up by 0.91 per cent, BSE Auto closed up by 1.82 per cent, BSE Bankex closed up by 2.82 per cent, BSE Capital Goods closed up by 3.52 per cent, BSE Metal closed up 1.77 per cent,BSE Oil & Gas closed up 1.32 per cent and BSE Realty closed up by 2.01 per cent.

BSE Healthcare closed down by 1.76 per cent and BSE Consumer durables closed down by 0.11 per cent.
