The company's total sales for Q4FY17 came in at Rs 2244.38 crore, which represents a 1.65 per cent sequential decline and 5.19 per cent YoY increase.
Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter was Rs 275.88 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 12.29 per cent.
The company reported PAT of Rs 210.91 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 4.32 per cent and a YoY increase of 5.97 per cent.
During FY17, the company’s revenue saw 7.8 per cent YoY increase in revenue to Rs 9054 crore and during same period EBITDA increased 5.3 per cent YoY to Rs 12778 crore. Also, the company’s PAT rose 7 per cent YoY to Rs 885 crore.
The board of directors of the company has recommended dividend of Rs 22 on equity share of Rs 2 each.
The stock opened at Rs 3533.20 and closed at at Rs 3514.60, a decline of 0.53 per cent .
Britannia Industries Limited is engaged in the manufacture of biscuits, cakes and rusks. The company operates in the foods segment, which comprises of bakery and dairy products.
