Hero MotoCorp posts a 9 per cent hike in May sales

India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp declared its monthly sales on June 2, 2017, reporting a hike of 8.7 per cent sales to 6,33,884 units in the month of May.

In the corresponding period of the previous year 2016, the company had reported sales of 5,83,117 units.

Further the company is anticipating a rise in the demand of two-wheelers in the rural markets with the arrival of monsoon. The company also began commercial production at its second global manufacturing facility at Bangladesh with a capacity of 1,50,000 vehicles per annum.   

At 09:35 hrs IST, the stock traded at Rs 3806.50, up by 1.92 per cent on the BSE, on June 2, 2017.
