Bajaj Auto Reveals its Sales Data for May 2017

On Friday, Bajaj Auto announced its sales data for the month of May 2017. The motorcycle segment of the company reached 2,77,115 units in May 2017, as opposed to 3,07,344 units in May 2016, registering a 10% decline.

The commercial vehicles segment too showed a downfall of 9%, declining to 36,641 units in May 2017, as against 40,311 units in May 2016.
In the overall data results (motorcycles + commercial vehicles) too, the sales reached 3,13,756 units in the month of May 2017 as compared to 3,47,655 units in May 2016, registering a decline of 10%.
As a result, Bajaj Auto share price declined by 0.6% to Rs 2821 at 1013 hours IST on BSE. It touched a high of Rs 2831.05 and a low of Rs 2772.20 so far.
