CBI raids NDTV co-founder Prannoy Roy’s residence, stock hits 52-week low

Soon after the news of CBI raids on Prannoy Roy the co-founder of New Delhi Television (NDTV) flashed on different news channels, the stock of the company on the BSE slipped and touched its 52-week low of Rs 58.10.

A leading news agencies reported that Central Bureau of Investigation has searched co-founder’s residence in Delhi. RRPR Holdings for allegedly causing losses of Rs 48 crore to ICICI Bank, CBI sources said.
Raids are being conducted on Monday at four places which include Delhi & Dehradun.
Earlier on June 1 the company had decided to transfer its business programme from Profit to regular business and finance segments on NDTV 24x7.
“This will mean suspending the current trading hours programming on Profit while Prime will continue as a channel. NDTV does not rule out reviving a business channel when the circumstances are appropriate.” the company said in its BSE filing.
