Nifty, Sensex and Bank Nifty yet again touch their record high

On Monday, both the benchmark indices touched their all-time high. Nifty closed at record highs at 9,687.20 intra-day on June 5, 2017 while Sensex ended at the record high of 31355.42 on Monday’s trade. 

At the closing bell, Nifty ended at 9,675.10, up by 21.60 points or 0.22 per cent and Sensex closed at 31,309.49, up by 36.20 points or 0.12 per cent. On NSE, out of 1965 total scrips, 738 scrips closed in red while 910 scrips ended the day in green and about 317 scrips remained unchanged.

BSE mid-cap index closed at 14824.06, up by 22.58 point or 0.15  per cent and BSE small-cap index closed at 15409.95, up by 98.78 points or 0.65 per cent.

India Bulls Housing Finance was the top gainer in Nifty closed at Rs 1,171.05, up by 39.20 points or 3.46 per cent. While Coal India Ltd was the top Nifty loser which closed at Rs 264.55, down by 4.25 points or 1.58 per cent.

BSE Bankex closed at Rs 26593.08, up by 0.35 per cent. Bank Nifty closed at its record high of 23494 level, Yes Bank and Axis Bank are the major contributors.

On Monday’s trading session, BSE Auto was the top gaining indices. Bajaj Auto was the major contributor. It closed at Rs 2898.4, up by 1.92 per cent.    

On NSE about 86 stocks reported their 52-week high while about 37 stocks registered their 52-week low.
