Uflex inches up on achieving low ink GSM for rotogravure printing

Packaging major Uflex announced that has been able to optimise the cell structures of laser engraved rotogravure cylinders to an extent that results in 20-25 per cent less ink consumption.

Packaging major Uflex announced that has been able to optimise the cell structures of laser engraved rotogravure cylinders to an extent that results in 20-25 per cent less ink consumption. The electromechanically engraved counterpart requires nearly 20-25 per cent ink consumption to render the same image resolution and enhancement.       
Laser engraving provides flexibility towards altering cell shapes and structures for rotogravure cylinders, unlike Electromechanical engraving that produces a conventional cell shape. Thus resulting in low ink GSM while printing on the substrate.
 
Uflex Limited stood at Rs 392 as of 15:30 hrs IST, up by 6.94 per cent on the BSE. The stock saw a 40 per cent deliverable quantity to the traded quantity in the last nine to ten trading sessions. Whereas the major indices in the market traded at all-time highs. Nifty touched its all-time high of 9682 levels and Sensex also touched its life-time high of 31344 levels on June 5, 2017.
