Maruti Announces its Production Data for May 2017

On Wednesday, Maruti Suzuki India announced that its production in May has risen 16.8% to 1,51,262 lakh units as compared to 129,509 units in the previous year.

The company’s compact segment, Swift, Ritz, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Dzire Tour have nearly 17% to 68,562 as compared 58,253 in the previous year.
The company’s mini segment, comprising WagonR and Alto, production has risen by 1.9% to 41,669 in May as compared to 34,805 in the previous year.
Its mid-size vehicle,
S-Cross, Gypsy, Ertiga, and Vitara Brezza, Maruti's utility vehicles segment have risen nearly 22% to 22,665 as compared to 15,656 units in the previous year.
