Environment Ministry Gives Clearance to Hindustan Petroleum for RBPL Expansion

The state-owned Hindustan Petroleum has got clearance from the Environment Ministry for Rs 230 crore dilation project of Ramanmandi Bahadurgarh Petroleum Products Pipeline (RBPL).

An expert panel has given approval for the RBPL expansion project. The approval has been given with some conditions, reported a national news agency, quoting a senior government official.

HPCL has proposed to raise its production capacity from the existing from existing 4.71 million tonnes to 8 million tonnes per annum for transiting of additional petroleum products. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) operates a 243 km long cross-country pipeline RBPL for transportation of various petroleum products.
 
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited was trading at Rs 540.10, up by Rs 1.40 or 0.26% as at 1518 hours on Friday on the BSE. The stock had hit a high of Rs 541.50.
