Top 4 companies on BSE Suffer Combined Loss of Rs 36,771 Crore on BSE

According to a leading national news agency, the top 4 most valued companies suffered a combined loss of around Rs 36,771 crore in their market capitalisation during the past week.

According to a leading national news agency, the top 4 most valued companies suffered a combined loss of around Rs 36,771 crore in their market capitalisation during the past week. 
 
ITC Limited, FMCG giant and IT giant TCS witnessed maximum decline in their market valuation. While TCS, ITC, Infosys and ONGC endured losses. Stocks like HDFC Bank, RIL, HUL, SBI and Maruti witnessed rise in their M-cap for the past week which ended June 9, 2017. The cumulative gains of these companies stood at around Rs 29857 crore which was lower than the aggregate loss suffered by the four firms.
 
The market capitalisation of TCS slumped by Rs 10,167 crore to Rs 4,94,626 crore and that of ONGC slumped Rs 6,095 crore to Rs 2,17,074 crore. ITC’s valuation plummeted by Rs 15,730 crore to Rs 3,71,952 crore, emerging as the worst hit among the top-10 stocks on the bourses. IT giant Infosys Limited also witnessed its valuation slumped by Rs 4,777 crore to Rs 2,17,899 crore.
