IT & Metal stocks drag markets, Lupin & Nifty top Sensex gainer

The benchmark index Sensex closed flat at 31,303 levels, gaining a mere 7.79 points or 0.03 per cent. Nifty closed at 9606.90 levels, down by 9.50 points or 0.10 per cent.
Lupin was the top index Sensex gainer, up by 1.61 per cent, followed by Power Grid and NTPC which closed higher by 1.55 per cent and 1.42 per cent, respectively.
Tata Motors was the top Sensex loser, closing down 1.74 per cent. Wipro was down 1.65 per cent and TCS declined 1.95 per cent.
BSE IT slid by 1 per cent, BSE Metal fell by 0.83 per cent and BSE Auto closed down by 0.44 per cent.
BSE Realty closed up by 0.75 per cent, BSE Power gained 0.78 per cent and BSE consumer durables was up by 0.33 per cent.
