Leading two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp plans to invest Rs 2500 crore in next 2 years

Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler maker is planning to invest around Rs 2500 crore in the next two financial years upto 2018-19.

The investment proposed includes products development, digitization and phase-wise capacity installation and in brown and green field expansion.
 
A leading news agency reported that the company is driving toward 100 million in sales and has crossed 70 million.
 
The company is planning to expand its existing facility at Gujarat and part of the capex will be on upcoming plants in Bangladesh and Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director & CEO of Hero MotoCorp in a letter to the shareholders.

The first phase capacity of Vadodara plant will have a capacity of 1.2 million units annually. Gradually, the overall production capacity will be increased to 1.8 million units annually.
 
Upgradation and modernisation of the company’s existing plant machinery are also included in the capex.
