BSE Promoted CDSL IPO most subscribed issue of 2017

BSE promoted Central Depository Services Limited IPO got oversubscribed by 170.16 times. This has marked the most subscribed IPO issue of 2017 in Indian capital markets.

BSE promoted Central Depository Services Limited IPO got oversubscribed by 170.16 times. This has marked the most subscribed IPO issue of 2017 in Indian capital markets.
 
The qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) have bid for 148.71 times, retail individual investors have bid for 23.83 times and employees segment have received bids for 1.46 times for CDSL IPO. The demand for the IPO was led by the non-institutional investors with bidding of 563.03 times.
 
CDSL’s existing shareholders including BSE Limited, Bank of Baroda Limited, State Bank of India Limited  and Calcutta Stock Exchange have sold around 3.5 crore shares in its IPO. The objectives of the issue include achieving the benefits of listing the equity shares on NSE and to enhance its visibility and brand image and provide liquidity to its existing shareholders.
