CDSL IPO breaks the record; oversubscribed 169 times on final day

CDSL IPO has broken the record by being oversubscribed by over 169 times on the final day of the bidding process. As per the data shown in the stock exchanges, the CDSL IPO has received the bids for 4,20,60,29,600 shares against the issue size of 2.48 crore shares.

Central Depository Service Limited (CDSL) is the first depository in India and Asia, which went to the public for the initial public offer (IPO) and broke several records. CDSL has now become the most valued depository and also the second one after Peru depository in the worlds to get listed.
 
CDSL IPO has broken the record by being oversubscribed by over 169 times on the final day of the bidding process. As per the data shown in the stock exchanges, the CDSL IPO has received the bids for 4,20,60,29,600 shares against the issue size of 2.48 crore shares.
 
The portion reserved for qualified institutional buyers oversubscribed 148.70 times while non-institutional investors oversubscribed 563.03 times and the retail individual investors subscribed almost 23 times the shares on offer.
 
Last week, CDSL has already raised Rs 154.07 crore from 15 anchor investors with the price band of Rs 145-149 per share.
 
Before the issue,  BSE Limited held 50.05 percent stake , followed by SBI 9.57 percent, HDFC Bank & Standard Chartered Bank  held 7.18 percent each,  while the Canara Bank held  6.45 percent, Bank of India 5.57 percent, Bank of Baroda  have 5.07 percent and LIC held 4.15 percent stake in the company.
 
In this offer for sale, shareholders like BSE Limited sold up to 2.72 crore shares, SBI sold up to 47.75 lakh shares while Bank of Baroda sold up to 21.74 lakh shares and Calcutta Stock Exchange up to 10 lakh shares.  
 
Haitong Securities India, IDBI Capital Markets and Securities and YES Securities (India) are the book running lead managers to the offer.
