Glenmark receives USFDA approval for tablets specialising in overactive bladder treatment

On June 22,2017, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a Mumbai headquartered pharmaceutical company reported that the company has received the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for the Solifenacin Succinate Tablets (5 mg and 10 mg) and for Vesicare Tablets, (5 mg and 10 mg) of Astellas Pharma US Inc.
On June 22,2017, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a Mumbai headquartered pharmaceutical company reported that the company has received the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for the Solifenacin Succinate Tablets (5 mg and 10 mg) and for Vesicare Tablets, (5 mg and 10 mg) of Astellas Pharma US Inc. Both these tablets are utilized for the treatment of overactive bladder.
As per IMS Health sales data April 2017, the Vesicare tablets (5 mg and 10 mg) market sale was US $ 1.1 billion.
Current portfolio of Glenmark consists of 117 products authorized for distribution in the U.S. marketplace and it has 68 ANDAs pending approval with the USFDA.
On June 22,2017, Glenmark Pharmaceutical Limited was trading at Rs 631.00, up by 0.37 per cent on BSE at 12.21 hours. It opened at Rs 642.00 on Thursday, while on Wednesday it closed at Rs 628.70. It touched its intraday high and low at Rs 644.00 and Rs 630.00 respectively. While S&P BSE Healthcare was trading at Rs 14150.08, up by 0.60 per cent at 1226 hours.
