Tata Power approaches GUVNL to sell stake in loss making Mundra UMPP

Tata Power has recently approached the Ministry of Power and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) to sell around 51% equity in the 4000-MW Mundra Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) to them.

Tata Power SED has also won a prestigious pilot project order from Ministry of Home Affairs for supply of Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) to Border Security Force (BSF).
India’s power sector will also receive around USD 7.5 million from the United States as a part of its commitment to ensure access to inexpensive and reliable energy in both the countries.
